Jade grew up dancing at the Beverly Richards Dance Center in East Boston, where she now serves as head Instructor/Choreographer. She has earned the honor of being a certified Para-Educator for the state of Massachusetts. A graduate of Salem State University with a degree in Sport and Movement Science, she was the recipient of SSU's "Creativity Award" for her achievements in the dance program. Jade was a featured back-up dancer (as a “Gothic Cheerleader”) for Weird Al Yankovic, was a selected performer for Jose’ Mateo’s Ballet Theatre Dance For World Community, and was named Dance Spirit Magazine's "Miss Dance Massachusetts" for 2011. Her choreography has been performed at the American College Dance Festival and many other showcases and regional and national dance competitions. She is a guest instructor, teacher, choreographer, performer and adjudicator for public schools, private schools, and companies throughout Massachusetts area; and serves on the Dance Teachers' Club of Boston’s Board of Directors as Co-Chair of Performing Arts. Jade's lively spirit, electric friendliness and high-energy approach to teaching all dance styles endears her to students of all ages and dance levels. She is very excited to return to Dance Carousel this season with expanded positions in both our Team and Exploration divisions.
